Besides the discounts offered at some restaurants, winters in Newport suck. Bitter cold, combined with the lack of things to do makes me long for the summer. It's no secret that high season in Newport means partying on the wharfs and there is no better place to have a martini or margarita then at 22 Portside.
This tiny bar outside 22 Bowen's is situated right off the water with limited seating, and is usually always crowded. If you can nab a table, you can enjoy most items off the amazing 22B's menu, but I recommend 'pre-gaming' at the bar in style before hitting the larger bars around town.
4 out 5 scoops instead of a perfect 5 because it's February, I hate winter, and miss hanging out with a Scotch at 22 Portside...
