“I don't know about you, but I like my ghetto booty 'On the Rocks' with a twist of mad beats fo sho.”

Tired of the same old bar scene on Thames? Sick of the crowds that continually take over Pelham and Studio? Well if you're willing to make the stroll up Broadway, put on your FUBU gear and visit On the Rocks.
"Yo B! I tried to find that bar on Broadway with my peeps and it don't exist sucka." Yes, the bar is a little difficult to find because you have to enter at One Eighty and walk all the way to the back, past the cooks who look at you strangely, stumble down a flight of stairs into a dark and sketchy looking room that makes you feel like you might need your gat. Don't be afraid, because as soon as you get past the bouncer you will enter the cave like atmosphere of On the Rocks in all its glory.
If you get in early, you will more than likely have the bar to yourself, however the closer midnight approaches the more the place crawls with Newport's finest. Yes, the crowd is not your typical bunch of college co-eds and pretentious snobs you usually find on Thames, but a more urban group who like to get jiggy wid it.
The bartenders are average, and drinks are a little cheaper than usual. There is plenty of lounge seating that surrounds the walls of the joint and the DJ usually spins some great, although incredibly loud, tunes.
There is even a stripper pole right smack in the middle of the dance floor – my favorite part. I don't know what it is about girls and stripper poles. Every girl sees it and wants to live out their stripper fantasy and swing drunkenly around it, but few get up the nerve. What's worse is that the ones who muster up enough courage to do so usually suck and just end up dry humping the thing like it was their first high school make out session – totally awkward but so much fun to watch.
All in all, there is something special about this bar and I think you will agree. I rate it 4 out of 5 scoops. Peace out.
