Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant, Newport, Rhode Island

The Brick Alley Pub is probably Newport's most popular restaurant. The reason could be its large size, terrific and diverse menu, prime location on Thames Street, or all of the above! This eatery wins over tourists and locals alike.
The Brick Alley is best known for their ultimate nachos and deluxe burgers, but if you're a seafood fan, check out their lobster roll at market price -- you definitely get your money's worth because the roll is always overflowing with lots of large pieces of lobster. One of the best things about the Brick Alley is that you always get a large portion without breaking the bank. Most menu items are in the $10 range, although if you are ordering a dinner-sized entrée, expect to pay around $20.
The atmosphere is casual, with lots of local memorabilia hanging from the walls. You can't miss the building either: it's large and yellow and right on Thames. The one down-side is the wait -- there almost always is one -- but try calling ahead; they usually take same-day reservations. Of course, you can always take a seat at one of their two bars where, in addition to downing some drinks, you can also order off of the full menu. In my opinion, if you don't know just what you want, check out the Brick Alley. You will always find something you like!
