Angela Moore is located on Bellevue Avenue, and is the largest store in the Newport area stocking quality resort-wear from well-known designers such as Lilly Pulitzer and Manuel Canovas. As you approach the entrance, you will quickly conclude that this shop is not afraid of color, even in the dead of winter. As you walk through the door you will notice a large table-top piled high with brightly-colored, hand-painted resin necklaces and bracelets, which are the signature products of this local designer. To either side of this table you will see a plethora of merchandise that is well organized and displayed.
Not only is the merchandise sold at Angela Moore fun, bright, and pleasantly-preppy, but so is the décor. The interior of this spacious shop is adorned with morano glass, Venetian chandeliers, and lots of French country-style details, which makes this boutique stand out from its peers.
This store is definitely not for every-day-shopping since it carries such a specific niche. However, it fits well into the overall Newport fashion scene, especially in the summer. Other designer brands you may find here include such names as Molly B., Tracy Reese, Jennifer Reele, and Jack Rodgers sandals, as well as several others. Angela Moore also has a selection of men's clothes and accessories, including brand-name items like Villbriquin swim trunks, Café cotton shirts, and P. Nicolas belts.
People flock to this store for both its great selection of beautiful resort-wear, and its Angela Moore designed jewelry. The jewelry selection ranges from a pair of earrings for about $20, all the way to elaborate necklaces for as much as $150. Each piece is hand designed and painted, and you can choose from every theme and pattern imaginable, with no lack of pink and green. Angela Moore jewelry makes an excellent (and easy!) gift, as it comes packaged in a signature gift bag with tissue and ribbon that any girl would love to receive.
Overall, I have a lot of affection for this store. The clothes sell at various price points, from around $50 to at most $500, but there is no lack of affordable accessories. I always find something I can use and afford, and the staff is both knowledgeable and helpful. The shopping experience at this boutique is most unique!
