If you're on a shopping spree down Thames Street, The Pink Pineapple (or Pink as the locals refer to it) offers horrible customer service and average, unorganized merchandise – but you may find a few gems worth hunting for.
While there is a wide selection of resort wear, dresses, cashmere, jeans and accessories, finding something worth buying is often a chore. Your typical experience includes an unpleasant, unhelpful high school girl more concerned with her homework and social life then the well being of the store and the customers shopping. If you can deal with being blatantly ignored, and have the energy to dig through the crowded racks, you may discover some cute things that are very Newport appropriate – usually consisting of bright cheerful colors and patterns.
Stop in and visit Pink only if you have nothing better to do, or if you just absolutely love to shop.
