The best weeks aren’t the loudest ones.

They’re the ones with little wins: a kid’s proud drawing on display at the library, the smell of pizza wafting out to the dock, or a new bike ride that ends with sandy toes and a penny pressed souvenir.

This week’s events feel like that: simple pleasures with a lot of heart. We hope something here nudges you to get out and enjoy where you live.

In today’s Scoop:

  • 🎨 Newport’s Park Art Party

  • 🔬 Science After Dark Fun

  • 🍕 Dockside Pizza Meets Beach Rides

  • 🎶 Ghosts, Grooves & Good Vibes

🍷 A Taste of Italy by the Marina

2280 Newport Blvd #104, Newport Beach, CA

At Buona Forchetta in Peninsula Village, the scent of wood-fired dough drifts out to the dock, pulling you inside for a true Italian moment. The pizzas arrive with just the right blistered edges, and pastas come silky and soulful.

Servers guide you to a wine that fits like an old friend, while pups are treated like guests of honor. Matteo, the owner, often strolls through with champagne or a sweet surprise! Learn more here.

🚲 Pedal Into Paradise

204 Washington St #A, Newport Beach, CA

One block from the Balboa boardwalk, Balboa Beach & Bicycle Boutique sets you up for a breezy day by the water. Rent a cruiser, tandem, or kids’ bike (baskets and locks included) and you’re on the path in minutes.

The staff goes the extra mile: adjusting seats, sharing favorite routes, even pointing kids to the penny press for a keepsake. Fair prices, friendly faces, and pure coastal fun on two wheels. Learn more here.
