March always brings a little extra energy. The patios fill up, the ocean breeze sticks around a little longer in the evenings, and suddenly everyone is looking for a reason to get outside.
This week has a fun mix of things happening around town. Lawn bowling by the harbor, OC Restaurant Week menus still going strong, and a St. Patrickās celebration that feels right at home at Muldoonās.

Also keep an eye out for Jazzy in this issue. She might be the happiest adoption story waiting to happen.
Hope you find something good to add to the calendar.

202 Newport Center Dr, Newport Beach, CA
Muldoonās Irish Pub is currently leaning into its favorite time of year with a calendar full of stout and strings. The ivy-covered brick exterior opens into a collection of oak-lined rooms and a central courtyard anchored by a massive sycamore tree.
March is particularly lively here; the air carries the scent of hearty Irish stew while local bands like Brick Top Blaggers set the pace. It is a polished Newport Beach staple for a well-poured Guinness and a side of bangers and mash.

1550 Crown Dr N, Corona Del Mar, CA
The Newport Harbor Lawn Bowling Club is gearing up for the Newport Classic Mixed Triples Tournament on Sunday, March 29. Players gather by 8:45 am to hear the opening announcements before the trials wrap up at 9:00 am.
It is a specific kind of magic to watch the heavy bowls glide across the flat turf while the coastal breeze kicks up. If you are curious about the technique, they often have members ready to share a free lesson.
This corner of Corona del Mar has a steady, welcoming energy that makes an hour outdoors feel like a proper retreat.
