🚲 Newport Beach kids trade e-bikes for traditional pedals

The Gist: Newport-Mesa Unified School District officially banned e-bikes on campus for students in kindergarten through eighth grade starting this 2026-27 school year. On the first day at Ensign Intermediate School, crossing guards noticed a clear difference as students traded motor power for traditional bicycles, skateboards, and walking. Kids arriving on e-bikes will be directed to check in at the school office.

Why It Matters: While the new rule means adjusting morning pickup and drop-off routines for families who relied on e-bikes, it brings a helpful shift toward safer streets around campus. It gives local kids a great reason to dust off their traditional bikes, enjoy the fresh coastal air, and get moving together during morning commutes.

🧿 Greek spirit served with crisp Aegean sophistication

The Newport Beach dining scene gets a stunning Greek update at Nēsos, set inside the former Pizzeria Mozza space. The atmosphere balances breezy Aegean warmth with high-energy coastal style.
